Biography:
Born of Cree/French ancestry Sara was raised Mission, BC.
In grade 5 Sara was given her first tub of beads by her Aunty. She began her beading journey making necklaces with color patterns and sharing with her pieces many school friends. She was taught to bead on deer hide leather when she was 13 years old by a native Elder named Giblets. He passed along to Sara his teachings and techniques that where given to him by his Grandmother, Mother and Aunt. Sara learned at an early age to single stitch every bead down and to thank the creator with every bead secured. She now creates beautiful hand stitched medicine bags, jewelry, mukluks, medicine pouches and dress Eagle feather stems.
Sara is a proud Mom and has passed on her traditions to her daughter.
She thanks her Mom and Dad for their love, encouragement and support in her journey and believes that with the creator's blessings she can create anything.
